YOUR OWN CHRISTMAS TRADITIONS

This year we are going to have a low key Christmas. My husband has to work at the hospital on wards on Christmas Day. I hate that he hasn’t gotten any of the major holidays off this year. We usually get to spend time with our families for Christmas. This year, we are living two thousand miles away and I don’t really think that it is fair to my husband to leave him all by himself for the holidays. I would really miss him and I know that he would get lonely. I am going to bake a ham and cook dinner. We are going to go to church and open Christmas gifts when he gets home for work. I love the holidays and will definitely miss my family this year. I guess when you get married and are far from your family of origin you have to make your own holiday traditions. I think that we will spend a lot of time together with our little beagle, curled up on the sofa and watching movies on DIRECTV. I am just hoping that his pager isn’t going off all the time!

Blogging is something that I love to do and I'm very happy that I can do it now with my new phone. Any android phones wil allow you to blog anytime,anywhere.. Well, just make sure you have an unlimited data plan so you don't have to worry about your phone bill.

Now that I can blog anywhere, I will promise to update this blog more often.

Why don’t more people start their own businesses? I was sick and tired of sitting in a cubicle all day and all I really wanted to be doing was painting so I finally worked up the nerve a few years back to start my own professional art studio. I found a great space near downtown and converted it into a workable loft and I started renting out space to other artists, too. I get to paint as much as I want and my clients can commission directly from me so if you ask me, it’s the best of both worlds! I love doing something that’s all my own and allows me to totally flex my creative muscle each and every day at work.

I used to think that all the different colored hoodies that he practically lived in were so cute. But now that we've been married for a few years, I think it's time for him to get some better outerwear that's a little more age appropriate.

I've tried to convince him for a while now, but I told him that what I was getting him for Valentine's Day is a new coat. At first he argued, but I asked him to just let me buy him a coat.
